Taking the Shore by Storm | Jimi D Music - NJ Artist Promos

Local artist Jimi DeLucci has begun his rise along the coast of New Jersey.  He started slowly last summer, building his musical library of songs with a few weekly gigs and worked throughout the winter to add even more, along with acquiring some new gear (including his sweet Hawaiian Koa wood Taylor guitar -named Sandy for her beautiful coloring).  So to celebrate the kick-off of the season, it was only fitting to snap new images featuring Sandy the guitar & Brandy(lion) the golden pup.  And with summer officially underway, he is taking over the Jersey Shore! 

I'm especially thankful for his trust in my creative vision - and for putting on his anchor shirt, its my favorite! ;)  xoxo

Cape May(er) | NJ Lifestyle Family Portrait Session

This beautiful (& energetic) bunch is the Mayer family!  During their Memorial Week vacation to South Jersey, I had the pleasure of photographing some evening family portraits at Cape May Lighthouse State Park.  Their son Eddie, who loves to play the "catch me!" game kept everyone warm & moving on the chilly May night (and even allowed us the chance to capture some overdue romantic photos of just Mom & Dad)!  Despite the unpredictable rain forecast - thanks NJ Spring weather - we stayed the course & the outcome are these intimate family moments set in front of the iconic lighthouse. :)

Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice | NJ Lifestyle Family Portraits

I wanted to start this off by calling this post "Double Trouble" but these two little girls are bundles of joy; full of smiles, giggles and love!  It is no wonder where they get it from when you look at the love that their parents display & freely give to them.  

The wonderment & awe that children bring into everyday situations and occurrences is priceless.  They remind you about what is truly important and to enjoy the moment that you are in.  Let's all tap into that childhood innocence and spend this holiday season appreciating the small things.

(And can we talk about how cute those little jackets are?!)

Rome Wasn't Built in a Day | The 5 Year Fitness Road to Warrior

This winter marks 5 years since Jimi joined the gym and began going consistently every day. The progress is slow when you're building, but becomes addicting & motivating when you start seeing results.  He envisioned small tweaks to his physique and with hard work, they manifested!  

He got there naturally by lifting every day, following an active & healthy lifestyle, and eating in moderation.  Both friends and fellow gym go-ers have turned to him for advice, strategies, questions on form, and inspiration (myself included!)

Once he decided to document his amazing progress, he really got to grinding & dedicating with a strict meal plan and workout regimen (provided by trainer Christa).  Here are the results of his 5 years - full Spartan!

(Girlfriend edit : Oh my, stud muffin! ;)  As his workout partner for the last year and half, it's easy to see how he keeps me motivated too!)

Autumn Evenings at Allaire Village | NJ Family Portraits

Meet the Earley family!  They are an active family of 4 men and their loving Mom & wife.  Between school, sports and busy schedules, life sometimes gets hectic.  And when your sons are growing faster than you can keep them fed, you free an evening & get outside for some fun portraits in the park!  No rapidly approaching sunset (with DayLight Saving time) or park patrol could keep us down - we were on a mission to grab the best moments!

The warm hues of the Autumn season are beautiful, but it is the family that truly shines together.  

And for brothers, they actually seemed to enjoy each other's company!  ;)
